What You'll Do & See
Our tours focus on Michigan wines. Most of the area’s wine grapes are grown within 25 miles of Lake Michigan. We help you learn about Michigan winemakers as we walk around downtown Grand Rapids (and share the local history as we pass it). Get ready to sample the ice and fruit wines winning awards for Michigan vineyards at national and international competitions for both dry and sweet.
As you taste, understand why you encounter different flavors from start to finish. Learn how to properly taste wine and how the wine-making process affects the finished product. We will visit 3 venues, walking between each so you get a chance to get to know the city as well as taste the region’s wines.
Private tours include wineries from southwest Michigan all the way north to the Traverse City region. Get ready for a fun-filled day in the vineyards and Michigan wineries, sampling liquid treasures crafted by professional, passionate winemakers, often with gorgeous views. Please inquire about private tour options.
Venues on This Tour May Include
Forty Pearl, The House of Brengman Brothers
Originally opened by Ed and Robert Brengman as a tasting room to showcase their award-winning wines and bring a taste of Traverse City to Grand Rapids, the venue is now a culinary experience with great emphasis on the restaurant as well as the wines. During your tour, we’ll also talk more about Leelanau Peninsula, where their wines are grown, home to some of the most diverse soils in Michigan.
House of Wine
Taste the Michigan wine flight (selection of samples) created just for us. This family-run wine bar offers wine flights of Michigan wines as well as an extensive wine list. They know so much about wine tasting, they even teach it to others!
