This has been the best ghost tour I have ever taken! While I’m a Chicago transplant, I grew up in Grand Rapids and never knew the stories behind these haunted locations. Despite it being a cold and overly rainy night, our tour guide was beyond fantastic! She truly was passionate and was very knowledgeable as a GR native. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting lovely GR.

My daughters and I did the Ghost tour with Bill yesterday that encompassed my 2 favorite topics: history and ghosts! I was blown away by all the things I learned about Grand Rapids even though I've lived here most of my life. Bill was so friendly and engaging! We had such a good time 🙂

Our organization was in town for a staff retreat and we had a wonderful time on the Tour Around Michigan - Historic Homes Tour! Our guide Candice was knowledgeable and accommodating. We can't recommend a fall tour of this beautiful neighborhood enough! Thank you for a great time!

On October 22, 2024, we embarked on an incredible haunted history tour in Grand Rapids, led by Candice from Tours Around Michigan. Candice went above and beyond, tailoring the experience specifically to our interests. She impressed us with her extensive knowledge, sharp intellect, and engaging storytelling, which made the two-hour walking tour both informative and entertaining. We visited a variety of locations, including churches, bars, and restaurants, as well as key historical blocks throughout the city. One of the highlights was witnessing unexplained lights flickering on and off in an abandoned building, where Candice shared a captivating story about its eerie past. We also delved into the almost-forgotten history of Amos and Amanda Rathbone, pioneers in the Grand Rapids area. Thanks to Candice's dedication, their story continues to be remembered. During the tour, I even sensed a presence that felt like a brief visit from Amos himself, which added a deeply personal connection to the experience.
